Andy was my office-mate, collaborator and friend. To everyone who knew him, he was much more than just a colleague - he was kind and warm human being. He was a naturally gifted bioinformatician who always had time to teach and share his knowledge with students and early-career researchers, and to support the research of many researchers from all corners of the globe. He will be greatly missed.
