I had the pleasure of working with Andy through the UK's largest dedicated breast cancer charity - Breast Cancer Now (formerly Breast Cancer Campaign). He was deeply involved in the work that we do and his commitment and time dedicated to the charity was invaluable. From 2013 to 2017 he sat on the Breast Cancer Campaign’s Scientific Advisory Board where his expertise in bioinformatics was instrumental in reviewing over £30 million worth of research proposals and making recommendations for funding. In 2018, Andy worked alongside other Breast Cancer Now funded scientists to host the Science Fair in Parliament with over 50 MPs in attendance, highlighting the importance of breast cancer research. He also helped with our fundraising activities in many ways including raising funds and hosting tours of labs so our fabulous supporters were inspired to do more for us. The impact Andy has helped us to make for people affect by breast cancer will continue on. I'm grateful to have had the pleasure of working with him to pave the way for a better future. His great humour and expertise will be sorely missed but not forgotten. Geraldine - Breast Cancer Now
