I am so glad I got to know Andy and had the pleasure of working with him, he really stood out as one of the good guys. Always happy to help others and a great supporter of the next generation of researchers, gently guiding and encouraging. And he was so incredibly patient when explaining complex issues, never giving you the impression that your question was just a little bit stupid (which it often was). Our thoughts and deepest sympathy to his family, we will miss him often and remember him fondly. Ingunn
