Every image of Andy I can recollect in my memories had that big smile on his face. Andy always had been an inspirational and successful scientist, but more importantly he was genuinely a good person with an honest and friendly character. In almost all conferences we both attended he was the guy I wanted to chat to during coffee breaks. One thing I am sure is he has left all the positive traces in the lives of so many people including his students and all his colleagues, which I am proud to have been one of those. Ahmet
