I’m so grateful for all the support and advice I’ve received from Andy as a PhD student. He was a great supervisor. I didn’t know anything about bioinformatics and asked him many questions (most of them very stupid) but he always had the right answer. If it wasn’t for him I would still be running in circles trying to select the most exiting genes for my project. He was very energetic, enthusiastic, positive and sporty (bumped into him many times in the bike room). I admire how openly he talked about his diagnosis and I am sure that his talk has inspired many of us. I send lots of love to his family. I am very sorry for what you are going through. Will miss you, Andy. LauraGC
